- 5 / 5By Bob D.My wife and I had dinner there on 8/29/2015. Rosie's is a quaint little place in a quite little town of Houston, MN in the Root River Valley. We arrived between 4:30 and5:00 pm One party was just leaving and their comment was "Have the schnitzel, it's as big as a platter" My wife and I each ordered the Jagerschnitzel, she ordered the German Potato Salad and I had the fried Potatoes. Rosie is the owner and sole employee, so she is the cook, waitress, and dishwasher. She takes an order and prepares it then delivers it. She moves to the next customer. Our food was delicious. The schnitzel was nicely breaded, crunchy the meat inside was very moist. The cooked red cabbage was really good, mellow with a bit of a sweet flavor to it. The GPS was a bit different from what I've had in the past. Still thought it was good. Prices are fair and portions are very large.July 29, 2016
